Abstract

Polyamide, esp. polyamide-6 or -6,6 granulate is coated from aq. dispersion with 0.01-1.0 wt.% paraffin, pref. with an average of 20-500 C. The granulate is specified for use in injection moulding, the coating preventing dust formation during processing. The coating is applied by passing an extruded strand of the polyamide through a 0.5-20 wt.% aq. dispersion of the paraffin or by tumbling a 5-75% dispersion with a polyamide granulate.
