Abstract

The equipment stacks loads over the entire loading surface of a vehicle with a side entrance, particularly a railway van. After fully loading the parts of the van on either side of the opening by a forklift truck and then removing the truck, a handling machine deposits loads at the sides simultaneously, in the alcoves formed between the edges of the opening and the last stacks placed in position by the truck. The same machine can be designed then to deliver loads in the lengthwise direction, to fill the van.
