Abstract

The panel is rectangular and made from folded sheet metal, its central portion being in the form of a vee (3). On the outer face of the vee, the panel has a double attachment (10, 11) for the pull cable. Its lower long side is curved and strengthened to act as a skid. On its inner face, the panel has a flat plate (12) at its rear and, at the front, is another plate (13) curved outwards. These plates, together with the vee shape, form a stabilising channel (14) when the net is pulled through the water.
