Abstract
The electric detonator cap includes an explosive charge (2), an electric ignition device (3) which receives its ignition energy from a dischargeable source (5), and a controllable switch (1). Wires (6, 7) can be connected to an external energy source to charge the internal source (5). A decoder (9) is also connected to the wires (6, 7). When the decoder receives a specific ignition command signal via the wires, it closes the detonation switch (11) via a delay circuit (10).
