Abstract

Selon ce procédé on brûle le bain fluonitrique usé dans un four de façon à obtenir des produits de combustion ou fumées contenant CO2 , N2 , H2 O, HF et des oxydes métalliques, on sépare les oxydes métalliques contenus dans ces produits de combustion, on met en solution le fluorure d'hydrogène HF contenu dans les fumées de façon à récupérer une solution d'acide fluorhydrique, et l'on rejette à l'atmosphère un mélange de gaz carbonique, d'azote et d'eau. On évite ainsi tout encrassage, dû à l'utilisation de la chaux dans le procédé antérieur, et l'on récupère en il des oxydes métalliques pratiquement purs ainsi que de l'acide fluorhydriques à environ 2 % en 13, qui peuvent être aisément réutilisés.
