Abstract

The frame for a ferrite magnetic circuit (2, 3) has a stirrup piece (5) surrounding three sides of the circuit (2, 3) with the fourth side closed by a strip (12). The strip (12) has the tongues (15) at each end which engage through holes (10) in the stirrup piece (5) and are secured by bending at right angles. A leaf spring (11) between the stirrup piece base (6) and the magnetic circuit (2, 3) retains the latter against movement. Flanges (17) at the stirrup piece ends carry mounting holes. The two sides (8) of the stirrup piece (5) are formed as channels to retain the magnetic circuit (2, 3) and the base (6) carries further mounting flanges.
