Abstract

The oscillating power screed is used to level concrete, being mounted on the rear of a tractor, and being actuated through the tractor's drive coupling. The screed is incorporated on a chassis which affixes to a conventional three-point tractor coupling, and the amplitude of the screed may be adjusted as the tractor proceeds. The chasis may support a rotatable shaft which is connected to the tractor coupling by means of a universal joint, simple levers then converting shaft rotation into screed oscillation. Controls may allow the deployment of the screed in a non-oscillating mode, and screed length may equal or exceed that of the chassis.
