Abstract

A special nut and locking clip are used for assembling profiled sections (4). The profiled section is U shaped with inwardly turned lips (41). The nut (1) is a rectangular block with its longer dimension a close fit between the flanges of the profiled section. The nut is fitted by aligning it longitudinally with the section so that it can be inserted, and then rotated it through 90 deg., and then fitted under the lips. A U shaped locking clip (2) retains the nut by engaging a groove (14) in the nut and the lips.
