Abstract

The fastening locks the lid onto the base of a container for holding flexible magnetic computer discs. The lid (8) has a guide clip (13) each side, each clip having an outwards turned lip which is inserted into a slot through a plate (27) each side of the container base (9). This clip is released to grip the plate on its underside and the assembly is locked by the spring arms (19, 20) of a pull down catch (29). Each arm fits over the top of the guide clip, making use of the natural resilience of the material.
