Abstract
A stereoscopic colour TV system uses a single colour camera (3) which views a scene through two filters (1, 2) spaced apart by a distance e. The filters (1, 2) respectively pass blue or blue/green and red light to the camera for generating chrominance signals (EV, EB, ER). The light is combined through plane mirrors (4) and a semitransparent mirror (5). Two slightly staggered images are reconstituted by the blue or blue/green and red signals in a conventional colour receiver which is viewed through a stereoscopic viewer which has two lenses. One lens transmits only the blue or blue/green light and the other transmits only the red light.
