Abstract

The curtain mounting uses overhead runners (2) sliding in a slotted box section track (1) a separate vertical curtain blade being suspended from each runner. Crank handle-actuated bevel gears are used to pivot the blades about their vertical axies. The runners slide on a horizontal control rod (6), of round section with longitudinal segmental grooves, and to which bevelled gear wheels (5) are keyed (5a). A gear (5) is mounted rotatably within each runner (2), and meshes with a similar wheel (4b) built onto the head of a vertical stub-axle (4a). Fixed runners at each end of the track are coupled to a curtain blade and an actuating rod respectively, being of identical form to the sliding runners.
