Abstract

System for cultivating vegetables, flowers, etc. provided with a pair of tails (1) along the longitudinal sides of a bed (2), each rail extending beyond each bed side, with a crane (3) running on the rails, capable of travel from the one bed end to the other. The crane is capable of stepped locomotion throughout its speed range, or movement at a continuous speed selected from its range. Moreover, the crane carries a wagon which can glide backwards and forwards, likewise in a stepped fashion, in the longitudinal direction of travel of the crane. The wagon carries a beam to which various articles may be attached, and which beam can be lowered or raised as needed.
