Abstract

The articulated connection for a semi trailer is incorporated between two arms on the traction vehicle and two others on the trailer and enclosed by a bellows. The two sets of arms terminate in sloping members attached to a common block supported on a spherical joint forming respective connecting parts. Across each pair of arms is a cross member. Spanning all cross members are two pairs of control cylinders. These are interconnected with a hydraulic circuit which compensates the cylinders for the pressures exerted on them due to the forces exerted by the trailer on the traction vehicles, as well as the angle between them.
