Abstract

Plate for biological agglutination tests has relatively numerous cells is moulded from transparent material e.g. a cellulose acetate, having a specific resistance below 1011 ohm.m. The cells are cylindrical with concave bottoms. The bottom of each cell has a calotte-shaped, central portion adjacent a frusto-conical, annular portion. The slope of a generatrix of the annular portion corresponds to the limiting slope at normal agglutination. The apical half-angle of the frusto-conical portion is 60 degrees. The radius of the sphere of the central portion is 0.6 times the radius of the radius of the cylinder defining the sidewalls of the cells, the radius of that cylinder being 3 mm.
