Abstract

The building construction method is suitable for the mfr. of water-tight roof joints. The unusual feature is a T-shaped end piece (9) with an inclined main member, fixed at its lower end to a wooden block beam by a wood screw (14). The top end is formed into two screwed members, one pointing upwards (11) and one sideways (8) and each threaded to accept a nut (10, 16). The sideways member fits into a reinforcement member (7) forming the hard centre of a rubber or plastics hollow unit (6). The flexible unit is clamped down by one or more short bowed plate (13) and retained by the nut (10) on the upwardly extending thread (11).
