Abstract

A new process for the preparation of the compounds of formula: in which R represents a hydrogen or an alkyl containing 1 to 9 carbon atoms and R1 represents an alkyl containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, is described. For this purpose, a compound of formula: in which R2 and R3 represent an esterifying group, is cyclised and hydrolysed. The compound II can be obtained from the corresponding compound R1-SO- by reaction with an alkali metal azide or an O-hydrocarbon sulphonylhydroxylamine. The compounds of formula I are used in the treatment of asthma and of asthmatiform bronchitides of allergic origin.
