Abstract

At least two electrical or electronic installation apparatus parts (1, 2) which are connected by means of a flexible cable (7) and are provided with a cover (9') together form a unit which is accommodated in separate spaces and can be installed in a common box. In this case, each apparatus part (1, 2), which is arranged in a separate apparatus housing (1a; 2a) of essentially rectangular construction, can be plugged together by means of projections (3), which are arranged on the end surfaces of the housings, and perforations (4) by overlapping the end surfaces to form an apparatus unit, both in a horizontal installed position and in a vertical installed position, with the connecting cable (7) (which has an excess length and emerges from the housings) being pivoted. The unit can thus easily be installed in a flush-mounted installation box, said unit matching the dimensions of already existing installation units, purely externally.
