Abstract

Les isomères (+) ou (-) de l'homoéburnamine sont préparés en faisant réagir le sel de l'éthyle-1-hexahydro-1,2,3,4,6,7-indolo-(2,3-a) quinolozidinium sur l'acroléine pour donner un sel de déhydro-3,4-homoéburnamine intermédiaire, et en réduisant l'intermédiaire pour obtenir l'homoéburnamine appropriée. L'isomère obtenue dépend de l'agent de réduction utilisé. Les produits sont utiles en tant qu'intermédiaires dans la synthèse de la vincamine ( +- ) et de ses isomères.
