Abstract

La résistance électrique du fil est mesurée dans la partie de ce fil 1 qui traverse la zone 3 d'usinage, et le courant d'usinage et/ou la force de traction exercée sur ce fil 1 dans cette zone 3 sont ajustés de manière à maintenir cette résistance électrique à des valeurs prédéterminées. Ce réglage assure un contrôle permanent des contraintes mécaniques et thermiques exercées sur le fil 1 tout en prévenant sa rupture au cours de l'étincelage.
