Abstract

The safety device prevents liquefied gas in the liq. or emulsion/phase penetrating into pipes provided solely for the gaseous phase. It comprises a closed casing (2) inserted between the pipes for the liq. and gaseous phases, and inside which there works a float (8) having thin thimble (9) and base (10) portions, the latter with a hole (11) in it. The float has a thick top (16) forming a stop valve, whose face comes progressively into action, and which works against a seat (15) of flexible material, which is accommodated with some play in a mounting (15a) in the top part of the casing.
