Abstract

A compsn. for denaturing water-sol. paints (i.e. destroying their physico-chemical characteristics) comprises an aq. soln. of pref. 1-10, esp. 1.5-4g/l. of a sulphate of Fe (II), Mg and/or Mn. The pH of the soln. when in contact with the paint during use is pref. 6.5-8. The soln. pref. also contains a surfactant, antifoaming agent and corrosion inhibitor. Used for removing excess paint deposited on undesired parts in paint-spraying plants. The soln. is non-corrosive and is more efficient than prior art solns.
