Abstract

A woven cloth intended for the rought work of cleaning floors, etc., has a first woven thickness the area of which is that of the floorcloth. A second thickness is arranged in a lower plane covering the central zone of the first thickness. The two thickness are woven into one at least at the periphery of the second thickness, whilst surface zones are woven down into the fabric of the second thickness so as to delimit a number of zones between, in which the two thicknesses are independent of each other. The tendency of cloths of this type to allow the propagation of a small hole to disintegrate the whole fabric when the cloth is wrung out repeatedly for drying is frustrated, and the cloth is more absorbent generally.
