Abstract

The surface of the mat (1) comprises a number of cylindrical bosses (4) formed in parallel rows, each boss being joined by parallel ribs (2, 3). These forms a grilled surface with holes for dirt to fall through. The mat sides (5) are straight and relieved between the rows for removal of dirt, the intermediate ribs underneath being similarly relieved. The surface is flat and provided with a grooved pattern for grip. Each side of the mat has a T-slot (11) near one corner, the opposite corner having a T-shaped lug (10). These permit several sections to be joined together to form a larger mat.
