Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'éléments réfractaires isolants sous forme d'une mousse. Elle se rapporte à un procédé qui comprend la préparation d'une barbotine contenant un agrégat réfractaire qui contient au moins 7,5 % en poids de ciment, le mélange de cette barbotine avec une mousse formée par de l'eau, un agent moussant et de l'air et ayant une masse volumique ne dépassant pas 0,08 g/cm**3 environ, l'ensemble formant alors une barbotine sous forme de mousse qui est versée dans des moules, la dispersion durcissant à 20 degrés C environ pendant 24 h et séchant ensuite à une température inférieure à 93 degrés C avant la cuisson des pièces. Application à la préparation d'éléments réfractaires isolants ayant une très bonne résistance à l'écrasement.
