Abstract

The installation is used for evacuating semi-liquid manure from stables and piggeries, the material being push-along a conveyor (3) and into an elevated storage pit by means of a blade (2). This has a cable (5) attached and is reciprocated along the channel by a motor at one end. The blade pivots (10) on a shaft which also forms an articulation for a cross-piece or holder (1). The two part construction (1') enables the blade unit to negotiate the upwards curve (9) of the conveyor, integral grooves in the conveyor and pulley (11) guiding its movements.
