Abstract

The equipment removes liquid sewage from a collector tank, particularly one serving cowsheds etc. It comprises a pump (13) submerged in the tank and whose housing has an axial inlet and a tangential outlet, the latter coupled to a discharge pipe (24). In the housing is a rotary impeller with radial blades (15), and coupled to a coaxial shredder (14) running in a housing (5) with a peripheral inlet. The shredder housing is mounted on the axial pump inlet (4). The shredder can comprise a number of spiral blades (14) running against a strip at the edge of the inlet in the housing, so as to cut up fibrous material in the liquid.
