Abstract

The ignition system has a battery (1) an induction coil (2) and a spark plug (3). The system also includes an oil pressure switch (4) and a coolant temperature switch (5). The switches are earthed to the engine block through the electrodes (6, 7). The electromagnetic relay (21) is inserted between the distributor (14) and the coil (2). The solenoid (25) is in series with the isolating switch (32). The circuit prevents seizing of the crankshaft and overheating of the cylinder head gasket.
