Abstract

The sectional partition wall comprises hollow full height modular panels (2) which are connected by fixing to opposite faces of a ground anchored post (1) formed by two 'U' sections (3, 4). One 'U' section (3) fixes to the ground and its respective flanges (3b) slide into narrow mortices (9) on the ends of conjunctive panels, the other 'U' section (4) being a push fit into the thus formed inter panel channel. Each panel may be fabricated from two vertical sheets (5, 6) at a fixed horizontal interval, horizontal spacer diaphragms (7, 8) being provided at the head and foot, and the two sheets having square and doubly square vertical edge returns respectively. The double returns fit inside the plain returns to form the mortices (9), and bolts (15) to fixed ferrules (16) may provide the post to panel connection.
