Abstract

An elastomer compsn comprises 13-17(wt)% acrylonitrite (co)polymer (calc. as AN units based on compsn) 0.5-2.5% demoulding agent, 38-60% white filler and/or reinforcing fillers, 3-10% plasticiser, 3-7% activating agent, 0.2-2.5% S as vulcanisation accelerator, 1.5-2.7% antioxidant and 1.2-3.8% vulcanisation accelerator other than S. The compsn. is partic for moulding (non)composite gasbets for stationary or rotary shafts with(out) alternating suction, operating in lubricating media at -40 to 150 degrees C. The gaskets have durable mechanical properties and dimensional stability.
