Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé perfectionné de préparation d'éthers glycidyliques monomères de polyphénols, de faible viscosité, par réaction de l'épichlorhydrine en excès sur un polyphénol, et déshydrochloration du produit obtenu. Le procédé consiste notamment à introduire, rapidement et uniformément, une solution aqueuse d'agent alcalin à raison de 0,85 à 0,98 mole d'agent alcalin par équivalent hydroxy du polyphénol engagé, à éliminer simultanément l'eau du milieu réactionnel, puis à distiller l'épichlorhydrine restante et à éliminer le sel formé, avant de soumettre la résine à la déshydrochloration. Le procédé convient notamment à la fabrication du diéther glycidylique du bisphénol-A.
