Abstract
The gates of the converter are controlled by pulses whose phases change according to a control signal. For each gate, the difference between the actual control pulse phase and the nominal phase is converted into a voltage which is used as a correctional signal. The control pulse phase errors are derived by generating a pulse train whose pulse rate equals the converter frequency. The phase of the pulse train is adjusted until the mean phase difference between the pulse train and the control pulses at the gates equals a constant that is not greater than the interval between successive control pulses. Then the individual phase errors of the gates are determined.
