Abstract

A solar energy collector comprises heat conductive members having a coating of an inorganic oxide material. The inorganic oxide material has a solar energy absorption coefficient >=0.90 at a wavelength of 0.35-3.0 mu and is composed of ferrite and/or metal oxide. There are means for supplying liq. in conjunction with the heat conductive members, and means for supplying the liq. from the heat conductive members to utilisation members. Li-Zn ferrites are employed. Metal oxides of Ni, Co, Fe, Sr and Mo are also used.
