Abstract
The drive is for the windows or sliding roof of a motor vehicle and has a multi-piece damper unit between reduction gear and pinion-type drive member, seated on a drive shaft, to absorb moment loads. One part of this has a ledge across the shaft periphery, working with a counter ledge in a cup-shaped recess in the other part, with intervening elastic damper. The opening in the recess (36) facing its cup base is closed by a cover (42), and the space thus enclosed is virtually filled by the damping member (38). The first part can be a transverse plate (32), firmly connected to the drive shaft (18), with ledges formed by interfacing surfaces of flaps (34) protruding axially.
