Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant le transport de combustibles irradiés sous eau. Il est constitué d'une enveloppe extérieure 1 assurant la protection biologique munie d'un couvercle 2, à l'intérieur de laquelle est ou sont placés un ou plusieurs récipients compensateurs 3 dans le bain d'immersion des barreaux irradiés 5. Chaque récipient 3 est composé d'un fond supérieur 3a et d'un fond inférieur 3b reliés par une paroi latérale 3c de section droite/longitudinale ondulée, lequel récipient compensateur contient une quantité d'eau suffisante pour assurer en permanence un équilibre phase liquide, phase vapeur saturante ainsi qu'un gaz ou fluide non miscible tel que l'air ou l'azote assurant une pression partielle complémentaire croissant avec la température. L'invention s'applique au transport de toutes matières radioactives.
