Abstract

Joint d'étanchéité à équilibrage hydrostatique pour vérins et joints tournants, comportant une section rectangulaire 1 munie d'un épaulement 2 formant avec le support de joint 3 une cavité close 4 de grande section et une chambre différentielle 6 sans pression, la cavité 4 étant reliée à une autre cavité 7 comprise entre deux portées d'étanchéité cinématique 8 et 9 par un canal 10 qui traverse la section; la grande surface 11 portant à ses extremités des portées d'étanchéité statiques 12 et 13 tandis que la portée glissante 8 porte extérieurement une portée statique 14; la surface 11 étant prévue supérieure à la somme des surfaces 7 et 8, de sorte que la pression sur la surface 11 se limite automatiquement par l'expension du joint qui interrompt le passage du fluide entre la portée 8 et la surface glissante 15, la pression étant appliquee côté épaulement, d'où il résulte une réduction importante des frottements et, par suite, une réduction de l'usure des organes et un accroissement du rendement mécanique du dispositif utilisateur.
