Abstract

A support system for rails or cables is fitted to the wall or lining of a tunnel. Each support (1) is held in place by a bolt (16) and has a sloping foot (4), bearing against a distance piece or shim (5). The main part of the support (3) extends horizontally, and holds longitudinal profiles (7, 8). Cross pieces (9) are fastened to the profiles and the rails or cables rest on them. A light fitting (21) may be hung from the support. The surface of the shim (5) and the mating surface of the foot are cuved to allow adjustment of the inclination.
