Abstract
The wave generator is for use in a liquid in a test tank for ship's models. It consists of a displacement unit which has active surface and is made to reciprocate in the liquid. The displacement element (10) is wedge shaped and hinge-coupled to a shaft (12). The sides of the tank (14) are made with flexible seals (28) to prevent flow of the liquid along the edges of the active surface (20) of the displacing unit. the displacement element has a V-shaped balde tip and an auxiliary clamp.
