Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé de chlorométhylation de polymères ou de copolymères vinylaromatiques réticulés par utilisation d'un complexe chlorométhylant à base d'éther chlorométhylique et d'acide sulfurique, ce procédé étant caractérisé en ce que l'on remplace une partie du réactif constituant une source de chlore et d'acide sulfurique utilisé pour la formation du complexe chlorométhylant par une quantité sensiblement équivalente d'un chlorure métallique. Ce procédé peut être utilisé la préparation de résines échangeuses d'ions, anioniques.
