Abstract

Solid wheels for use on carts or buggies and made of twin dished profiles of moulded plastics material, such as reinforced polyester resin, are assembled with the space between the bosses of the twin mouldings, where they are supported on a hub, maintained by a spring in preference to a solid tubular spacer. The spring provides the wheel structure with greater flexibility to absorb shock. Pref. the springs are supported against washers which protect the moulding surface and allow the spring compression to be adjusted.
