Abstract
A bead (1') in a cylinder (1) is produced in such a way that the annular part of the cylinder (1) in which the bead (1') is to be produced is sealed off on the inside and is then deformed hydraulically. The advantage of the subject-matter of the invention lies, in particular, in the fact that the bead can be produced even in very long cylinders. The subject-matter of the invention is suitable, in particular, for the production of the beads in the radiation cylinders of turbo generators with a superconducting excitation winding. In the case of the radiation cylinders, the annular beads increase mechanical strength and can also serve as cooling ducts to guide the cooling medium.
