Abstract

The strap or clip allows for the capacitor (2) associated with the coil of the ignition system of internal combustion engines to be clamped against the side of the contact breaker housing (1). The clamp also insures that one side of the capacitor is grounded electrically and has an integral connector to which the associated coil primary lead (6) can be connected. The clip is formed from a single metal strip folded into a circle (5). This holds the capacitor and has a cut-out tag (8) forming either a male or female connection electrode.
