Abstract

Herbicidal compsns. contain >=3 cpds. of formula (I)-(IV) In the formulae, X is H or halogen; Y is Cl or CF3; Z is Cl, NO2 or 1-4C alkyl; R is H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl, NH2, CN, alkoxy, alkylthio, carbnalk)oxy, carb(alk)oxyalkyl, carbamoyloxy or alkanoyloxy; R1 is H or alkyl; R2 is opt. branched alkyl, opt. substd. cyclopropyl, chloroethyl or 2-methylene-furan. R3 is CF3, alkyl, SO2CH3, SO2NH2, SO2N.S.(CH3)2 (sic); R4 is H, alkyl or NH2; R5 is gp. of formula (V) (where X1 is halogen, H or OCF2CHF2 and Y is alkyl, halogen, alkoxy or -S-CF2Cl), or gp. of formula (VI) (where R9 is halogen, H, alkyl or alkoxy); R6 is H, CH3, or opt. substd. cyclohexenyl; R7 is O or S; R8 is H, alkyl or alkoxy; X2 is Cl, -SCH3 -SCH2CH3 or OCH3; Y2 is 1-4C alkyl; Z1 is H or 1-4C alkyl; and Z2 is alkyl, cyclopropylmethyl or -C(CH3)2CN. Compsns. are pre- and post-emergent selective herbicides used with cereals, turnsole, vegetables, cotton and various trees. Compsn. is synergistic.
