Abstract

The weighing is performed during a time interval (A). The material runs uniformly out from the funnel, and at least one quantity of material is fed in a heap into the funnel from a discontinuous loading device. A first signal representing the weight of the funnel and its content is continuously generated during the time interval (A). It is used by a computer for calculation of the quantity of material which is fed ito the funnel, or runs out from it, except the intervals (B, C) and (D, E) when the material is fed in the funnel in a heap. Then the computer uses a second signal depending on the quantity of material running out immediately before or after this time interval, to bridge the gap by using an estimated value.
