Abstract
The Parent Patent described lamination of adhesive coated sheets by applying static charges of opposing sign to successive sheets to promote facial contact. This addn. claims use of static charges of sufficient magnitude that their mutual annihilation dissipates sufficient local heat to fusion weld the interfaces of thermoplastic sheets without requiring an ancillary adhesive. Suitable for laminating sheets of e.g. polyester or flexible PVC film. Pref. >=1 of the film has a rough surface texture to concentrate the static charges on the tips of the asperities.
