Abstract

A panel of solar photopiles is mfd. by forming a photoelectric battery consisting of a number of the photopiles connected together electrically and terminating in electrical exit terminals immersed in >=1 plastics material disposed between two rigid sheets, of which at least the first is transparent. The method comprises inserting the photopiles in openings of a first, central element in a thermoplastics material in the form of a film, which is disposed between the two side thermoplastic elements consisting esp. of a first coating of a transparent thermoplastics material weldable at the same time to the thin film and to the transparent rigid sheet, and arranged between it and the photopiles and a second film of a thermoplastics material weldable at the same time to the film and to the second rigid film and during or after the glueing. Some heat is applied. Used to provide electrical energy for recharging accumulators, supplying devices such as Hertzian wave producers, luminous or radioelectric beacons, or in TV receivers used for educational purposes, etc. The panels incorporate modern improvements in quality of plastics materials (bubble free) together with the latest developments in laminated windows, with their improved resistance to mechanical shock.
