Abstract

The motorcyclist's helmet has a visor (11) which can be raised automatically. The visor is hinged to the helmet by means of pins (12), each having a spring (18) holding the visor (11) open. An operating disc (20) held in position by the heads of the hinge pins (12) is positioned outside on each hinged end of the visor (11). The visor also includes a toothed catch mechanism.
