Abstract
Plant fungicidal ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamates are prepared in situ by spraying the plants to be treated with two aq. solutions simultaneously, one contg. an alkali metal or ammonium ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate and the other contg. >=1 divalent metal salt such as Zn, Mn, cu and Co and opt. contg. surfactants, stabilisers, additives etc. Deposition is in the form of an amorphous solid, rather than as very fine crystals, resulting in greater adherence to the plant, better activity, and less tendency for the residue to form toxic ethylene thiourea when the plant is cooked.
