Abstract

The grinder disc mounting has a chuck detachably engaging with a plate, on the underside of which paste is applied to form an abrasive disc. The chuck (2) has a body (4) for fitting on a spindle, inside which are detachably engaging components. The components comprise a ring (7) sliding axially in the body against spring action and having a cone ring portion (10) working with an annular edge (11) on the underside of the body. This grips a series of tongues (12a) between, which are mounted on the top of the plate. The disc is esp. for grinding hard stone, esp. granite or marble.
