Abstract

The kitchensink comprises one or more bowls (2, 3) with a drainer, transverse horizontal bridging panels (5) positioned between the elements effecting edge seals. The elements (2, 3) may be placed in individual openings in the working top, having external flanges (16) resting on the edges of the opening. The flanges are mounted on compression seals (18), their outer edge zones being covered by the edges of the bridging panels. The panels may be fixed by screws (21) from beneath the top, thus, applying a vertical pressure to the seals. The drainer may be dished with a fall to an outlet connected to the overflow of the adjacent bowl, and holes for tap fitting may be inc. in the bridging panels.
