Abstract

The active constituent of the prod. are subjected to one or more cycles of treatment. In each cycle the constituents are powerfully homogenised and then held at the cryoscopic temp. of the cells while ensuring that drying of the constituents does not take place. The temp. of the prod. is then raised to ambient at which it is subjected to ultraviolet irradiation. For irradiation treatment the prod. is pref. spread in a layer about 1 mm thick on a flat plate. Irradiation pref takes place for successive short spells interrupted by periods of rest. Homogenisation is pref. effected by vibrations at a frequency of 300-400 cycles per minute for a period of 10-12 minutes. The constituents are pref. filtered through a microporous filter and the filtrate dissolved in a cosmetologic vehicle. The process provides much more efficient extraction of active constituents than previous processes. Rejuvenating properties are accordingly enhanced.
